They, and each of our employees, are held to high standards of integrity and relationship management skills, as well as investment strategy expertise. While each principal holds specific and complementary expertise, each is a general investment adviser driven first and foremost by client objectives.

Stephen S. Sloan

Chairman and Managing Partner

Steve Sloan has over 40 years of tenure in the financial services and investment business. He has advised clients at such firms as E.F. Hutton, J.P. Morgan Private Bank and, prior to joining Arcus, at Credit Suisse Private Bank, where he was Managing Director and Regional Sales Manager. Steve’s investment perspective is strengthened by his experience with many economic cycles and market conditions over his nearly four-decade career. This experience has heavily influenced the Arcus investment approach. Steve holds a BA in English from the University of Georgia.

Steve and his wife, Mollie, live in Atlanta. They have one son, Spencer, who is an artist and is married to the former Millie Stewart.  Steve served as a Vice Chairman of The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club for fifteen years. The Tournament's profits are contributed to charities, among them, The First Tee and The East Lake Foundation. Steve also served as a volunteer member of the Media Committee at The Masters golf tournament for more than 10 years.

Steven C. Edwards

Managing Partner

Steve Edwards has spent over 20 years in wealth and asset management. Over the years, Steve has been responsible for advising individuals, family groups and foundations on investment strategy and manager selection. Prior to becoming a partner of Arcus, Steve worked as a Director in Private Banking at Credit Suisse and was previously with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management group. He holds a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Georgia.

Steve lives in Atlanta and has two children.  Steve enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling and spending time in the mountains of North Carolina.

W. Ross Singletary II

Managing Partner

Ross Singletary’s two decades of experience in finance and wealth management give him a broad perspective of investment markets. He has guided clients in a wide variety of investment strategies and has developed a particularly thorough knowledge of the use of non-traditional and volatility dampening strategies within Arcus client portfolios.

Before co-founding Arcus, Ross was a Director in Credit Suisse’s Private Banking unit and was previously with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management group in Atlanta and New York City.  Ross began his career in the Corporate Banking Group of First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo) in Charlotte and was National Sales Director at Conseco/Western National Life in San Francisco.  He holds a BA in Economics from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Ross currently serves on the Boards of Southern Bankshares, Inc., the holding company of The Claxton Bank, Charleston, SC based Grain and Barrel Spirits and Atlanta based REVELxp.  He serves on the Board of the University of Virginia College Foundation and on the Board of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where he is the Chair of the Development Committee.

Formerly, Ross was the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the Washington and Lee University Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics. He was the Co-Chair of his 20th and 30th Reunions at W&L. He was also on the Board of the Jacksonville based Florida Theatre, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and is the past Chair of the Investment Committee and Board member of The Sheltering Arms, based in Atlanta.

Matt B. Bailey, CFA, CMT

Director of Research

Matt Bailey has nearly a decade of experience in portfolio management, investment and market research, and both fundamental and technical analysis. He leads the Firm’s research efforts and provides coverage on the global markets and insight on asset allocation strategy. In addition, he conducts manager due diligence and monitors investments across the Firm’s platform. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Market Technician® designations and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Prior to joining Arcus, Matt previously worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager with two Atlanta-based investment advisory firms and at Fidelity Investments as a Wealth Strategist.

Matt and his wife, Maggie, live in Brookhaven with their identical twin daughters, Madison and Carter. He enjoys spending time with family, shooting sporting clays, and is a member of Christ the King Church in Buckhead.

Robert O’Quinn, CFP®

Vice President

Robert O'Quinn has over 10 years of experience in wealth and asset management working with small business owners and high net worth families. Prior to joining Arcus, he has worked in an investment advisor capacity for Scharf Investments, Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments. He holds the Certified Financial Planner designation®, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.

Robert and his wife, Awbree, live in Jacksonville with their two daughters. He enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and being outdoors as much as possible.

Laura I. Stiles, CFP®

Vice President

Laura Stiles has over 25 years in the financial industry. Laura’s credit and relationship banking background guide her work with clients in alternative investment strategies. Prior to Arcus, she worked at PwC as Business Development Director in Eastern Europe and in international and corporate banking with ING Bank and Wells Fargo. Laura holds the Certified Financial Planner designation®, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University.

Laura lives in Atlanta with her husband Mark and they have a daughter, Kate. Laura is an equestrian and enjoys skiing, yoga and hiking. She works in the community with RoH (Invest in Women Inc.), Chastain Horse Park Therapeutic Riding Program and the Special Forces Trust.

Adrienne B. Mandt, CFA

Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President

Adrienne Mandt has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry spanning portfolio management, analysis, operations and compliance. Prior to joining Arcus, Adrienne was a Sr. Vice President at Dominick & Dominick, a Portfolio Manager with EndPoint Capital, and a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Trusco Capital Management. Adrienne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she doubled majored in Finance and International Business and studied Mandarin Chinese.  She has been a CFA® charterholder since 2001.

Winn Pierson Boswell

Director of Operations and Client Service

Winn Pierson Boswell handles the client administration and operations at Arcus. Prior to Arcus, Winn worked as a sales assistant and receptionist in Charleston, South Carolina. Her experience also includes an internship with Smith Barney. Winn holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston.

Winn grew up on a farm in Culloden, Georgia.  She enjoys traveling, fishing and hunting with her black lab, Gunny.  Winn is also an avid equestrian and rode on the equestrian team at the College of Charleston.

Will Cooper

Vice President, Reporting

Will Cooper has over 10 years of experience in the financial technology space serving independent registered investment advisors. Prior to joining Arcus, Will served in multiple operations and client service roles with Advent Software as well as Wealth Access. Will holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Georgia Southern University.

Will and his wife, Beth Ann, live in Atlanta with their two children. Will enjoys spending time with his family as well as anything outdoors including golfing, hunting and fishing.

Brian Errickson

Assistant Vice President

Brian has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry encompassing client facing, operations, and business-to-business roles. Prior to joining Arcus, Brian was a Client Success Manager at Black Diamond Wealth Platform and a licensed Financial Advisor with Fidelity Investments. He graduated from the University of North Florida in 2009 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Brian and his wife Dawn live in Jacksonville, FL with their 2 children. Brian enjoys motorsports, landscaping, home improvement projects, cooking, and the occasional round of golf.

Candace Monroe

Candace has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit industry supporting the missions of various local organizations in Jacksonville. Prior to joining Arcus, Candace held leadership roles in areas of development, fundraising, administrative support, and management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Florida. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Candace enjoys time with family and friends, volunteering for local charities, supporting small businesses, time at the beach, and all things college football.

Hunter Moore

Executive Assistant

Hunter Moore has 8 years of experience in client services, real estate management, and operations. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. While in college she spent a month in Greece participating in an archaeologic excavation with the University of Montreal. Hunter is also Secretary of the Board for an Atlanta nonprofit.

Hunter was born and raised in Atlanta and now lives in Marietta with her husband Kyle. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sitting on the couch with her dog.
