They, and each of our employees, are held to high standards of integrity and relationship management skills, as well as investment strategy expertise. While each principal holds specific and complementary expertise, each is a general investment adviser driven first and foremost by client objectives.
Steven C. Edwards, Managing Partner
Steve Edwards has spent 14 years in wealth and asset management. Over the years, Steve has been responsible for advising individuals, family groups and foundations on investment strategy and manager selection. Prior to becoming a partner of Arcus, Steve worked as a Director in Private Banking at Credit Suisse and was previously with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management group. He holds a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of Georgia.
W. Ross Singletary II, Managing Partner
Ross Singletary’s two decades of experience in finance and wealth management give him a broad perspective of investment markets. He has guided clients in a wide variety of investment strategies and has developed a particularly thorough knowledge of the use of non-traditional and volatility dampening strategies within Arcus client portfolios. Before joining Arcus, Ross was a Director in Credit Suisse’s Private Banking unit and was previously with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management group. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University.
Stephen S. Sloan, Chairman and Managing Partner
Steve Sloan has over 40 years of tenure in the financial services and investment business. He has advised clients at such firms as E.F. Hutton, J.P. Morgan Private Bank and, prior to joining Arcus, at Credit Suisse Private Bank, where he was Managing Director and Regional Sales Manager. Steve’s investment perspective is strengthened by his experience with many economic cycles and market conditions over his nearly four-decade career. This experience has heavily influenced the Arcus investment approach. Steve holds a BA in English from the University of Georgia.
Steve has served as a Vice Chairman of The Tour Championship by Coca Cola for the last ten years. The Tournament's profits are contributed to charities, among them, The First Tee and The East Lake Foundation.
Michael H. Rollauer, CFP® Senior Vice President
Michael has over a decade of experience in wealth and asset management working primarily with private investors and institutions. Prior to joining Arcus, he has advised clients in portfolio and risk management at SunTrust Investment Services-Alexander Key Division as well as Citigroup-Salomon Smith Barney. Michael also was an investment adviser at Sagemark Consulting, where he worked exclusively with business owners and highly compensated executives, focusing in the areas of estate & trust planning, business succession planning, and charitable planning. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in 1996 and the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2003.
William K. Tugurian, Managing Director
Bill has over 15 years of experience in advising wealthy individuals and families in all facets of wealth management, including wealth preservation, asset management, inter-generational wealth transfer, estate planning and philanthropic giving. Bill joined Arcus from Morgan Stanley, where he served for 16 years, first as a Private Wealth Advisor and later as a member of the Management Team in the firm’s Private Wealth Management Group in New York. Bill joined Morgan Stanley in 1996 after receiving his MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Economics.
Danny Mack, Vice President
Danny Mack began his career in San Francisco as a Trading and Investment Operations Associate with Fisher Investments where he assisted in servicing approximately $50 billion in invested capital, and later joined Stadion Money Management in Athens, GA as a Senior Analyst and Portfolio Manager where he took a lead role in the implementation of Stadion’s non-traditional asset management strategies and helped Stadion grow from $900 million to nearly $7 billion in client assets. Danny graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, where he studied Economics and Finance. He currently serves as a member of the Young Alumni Board at the Terry College of Business.
Robert W. Joel, CFP, Principal and Head of Jacksonville Office
Bob Joel has over 20 years of experience in managing relationships for high net worth families, private foundations and institutions. His specialties include the oversight and implementation of comprehensive wealth management services, manager due diligence and selection and preservation of capital through the construction of tax efficient investment portfolios. Prior to joining Arcus, Bob was a Partner at HighTower Advisors and served as Vice president of Timucuan Asset Management, a Single Family Office and value equity manager. He holds BA in History from Florida State University and was awarded the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1996.
Adrienne B. Mandt, CFA, Vice President
Adrienne Mandt has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry spanning portfolio management, analysis, operations and compliance. Prior to joining Arcus, Adrienne was a Sr. Vice President at Dominick & Dominick, a Portfolio Manager with EndPoint Capital, and a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Trusco Capital Management. Adrienne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has been a CFA® charterholder since 2001.
Winn G. Pierson, Client Administration Analyst
Winn Pierson handles the client administration and operations at Arcus. Prior to Arcus, Winn worked as a sales assistant and receptionist in Charleston, South Carolina. Her experience also includes an internship with Smith Barney. Winn holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston.
Kendall B. Fritchie, Analyst
Kendall Fritchie supports the Arcus team in providing due diligence research on a variety of asset management strategies in addition to client management duties. Kendall graduated from the Williams Commerce School at Washington and Lee University with a BS degree in Business Administration.
